Dr. Katherine Piscalla was a gifted military scientist hired by the Harvard Company in 2688 to refine the process of the WSP-105 LAM's hydraulic conversion system. Within 2 years, Dr. Piscalla and her team of engineers we're able to devolop a Wasp LAM that passed field testing for the Star League Defense Force. Dr. Piscalla was eventually assassinated at a corporate resort on Le_Blon in 2690. Although no evidence was ever uncovered at the time, many believe the assassination was funded by Lexatech Industries, as they were in direct competition with their STG-A5 Stinger LAM.
