Dr. Katherine Piscalla was a Lead Engineer at Harvard Company, Inc. in 2688.[1][2]

History[edit]

Dr. Piscalla was hired by the Harvard Company in 2688 to assist on the Wasp LAM. Focusing on the role of a fighter-bomber they included an internal bomb bay, her team designed the WSP-100 Mk I which entered service after two years of development. Seven years later in 2697 they unveiled the WSP-100A which replaced the bomb bay and the SRM launcher with an LRM. This variation was later involved in a legal dispute with Corean Enterprises over their "nearly wholesale" duplication of the 100A in their VLK-QA Valkyrie. Concurrent with the legal wranglings with Corean was the realization that the 100 was so effective at its role that it was being specifically targeted. In an effort to make it more survivable the Mark II, later termed the WSP-105, started design in 2697 and entered production in 2701. Ironically this redesign eliminated the internal bomb bay that made the 100s so well liked by SLDF ground forces.[1][2]
