== Overview ==
Because it produces what many view as a [[Free Worlds League]] fighter, the '''Kurita CMC''' (also known as KCMC) generally had a difficult time obtaining components for its product. When the [[Jihad]] broke out in [[3067]], KCMC's Altair facilities would be captured by the [[Word of Blake]]. By 3079, its facilities would survive the occupation.  However, with the formation of Republic of the Sphere, Draconis Combine's government would order KCMC to dismantle its Altair based factory and relocated it to world of [[Kajikazawa]]. The relocation radically changed the quiet coastline community into mini-metropolis with new communities supporting it and its works.
