Captain Lucas Kenner was an officer in Wolf's Dragoons, who served as the commander of Kenner's Company ("Able First") of Able Battalion in Alpha Regiment, from 3019 to 3028.[1][2]

History[edit]

Kenner was reputed to alternate between bouts of manic activity and periods of grim brooding over the unfairness of life, or his latest romantic failures. In combat he was the same, being either sedate or furiously aggressive, depending on his level of mania or depression.[1]

Hesperus II[edit]

Kenner was first appointed to lead Able First company in 3019 as a relatively young and inexperienced officer, after its previous commander Captain Gamble died on Lamon, during the Dragoons' raid on the way to attack Hesperus II.[2][3]

Prior to this promotion, Kenner had been a lance commander in Alpha Regiment's Charlie battalion, since at least 3016.[2]

On Hesperus II Kenner led his company, the lead company of the Dragoons, during the deep penetration raid on that major Lyran Commonwealth world. Able First was responsible for most of Alpha Regiments advances during the campaign, quieting critics who'd advised it was too early to give him such a senior command.[4]

He also had time for a number of romantic relationship while on Hesperus II, first with Dragoons' technician Kaley Cross before she dumped him, and later a casual romantic relationship with fellow Alpha Regiment Captain Amy Laskowski.[5]

Misery[edit]

Kenner led his company during the Battle of Misery, a battle during which he was at his most aggressive, and died together with all but one of the MechWarriors in his company.[1]

BattleMech[edit]

Kenner was known to pilot a Marauder II BattleMech.[1][4]
