Description
Luthenburg Class Supercarriers were constructed by the Lyran Commonwealth beginning in the early 28th century. These massive 100,000 ton are largest active carriers known to exist. Primary created for Stragetic Operations on planets which have large oceans.
The ships can provide mobile air support and limited artillery fire support for land and sea forces.
Carrying over 140 aeroborne vehicles which include 100 Aerospace or conventional fighter craft and 20 VTOL, 20 Conventional aircraft or medium support aircraft.
The ships were also designed to transport mix of 1,000 tons of heavy vehicles and 2,000 light vehicles. While also providing surgical theaters provide for injured soldiers.
These ships continued to serve Lyran Commonwealth until end of 30th Century when ships were mothballed due to loss of advance technology. After the Clan Invasion did the Alliance able return some of the ships into service again.
Armament
The class is armed with pair of Long Tom Artillery cannons on it bow for fire support for land forces. These ships carry 100 rounds of ammunition for these guns.
For defense against submerged threats such as submarines and other vehicles, the ship has number of Long Range Torpedo launchers mounted in all its firing arcs.
The ships mounted for close in defense, 9 Large Lasers, 6 Mediums lasers, and 8 [[LRM-20|Twenty tube Long Range Missile Launchers] with over 40 tons of ammunition.
These weapons are guided by Advanced Fire Control system, giving them accruate targeting capacities.

Known Ships of the Class
Thirteen ships of the Lutherberg Class were constructed on various Lyran worlds for wet navy support.
- TNS Luftenburg - Lead ship of class commission in 2741.
- TNS Gerthr - First ship of class recommissioned since the Succession Wars in 3055. The ship recommissioned after receiving lengthy refit made possible by re-discovery advance technologies.
- DNS Steadfast - Ship of of the Donegal Navy, last ship of the Class to be decommission & mothballed during the Succession Wars in 2920.
