Marika Portis was the commanding officer of the First Night Stalkers during the Ronin War.[1]

Tai-sa Portis and the First Night Stalkers were stationed on Heiligendreuz alongside the Second Night Stalkers when the Free Rasalhague Republic was formed in March 3034. While both Night Stalkers regiments were ordered off-world to make way for Rasalhagian garrison troops, Tai-sa Tadaki Johiro of the Second Stalkers refused to abandon those citizens still loyal to the Draconis Combine. Portis threatened to use force against any of Johiro's men that continued to deny their orders but, when over two-thirds of the Second Stalkers ignored her threats, fighting soon broke out between the sister units. Johiro's forces fought hard and the First Stalkers were ultimately forced to retreat off-world to Halesowen, where they would remain until November 3034.[1]
