The MAC forces would arrive in-system in force and General Otto could tell from the DropShip count that he faced a sizable army. He ordered the first battalion to back up the city garrison, expecting the MAC to split their forces against several military targets in the area. But after two days, there was no split in the forces, to Otto ordered the MCMM second battalion to back up his defensive forces. On the fourth day of the battle, Baxters Brawlers broke through the outer defenses and moved on the spaceport. The Rangers reported losses but did not ask for reinforcements. Later, scouts reported that the entire 2nd Regiment of the McCarron's Armored Cavalry had landed near the Stannic Bridge, a lostech artifact bridge built by the Star League.
