One side of each card has the standard Pilot Card entry; the other side depicts a character illustration commissioned for one of the Kickstarter backers. Although Mercenaries of the Inner Sphere I was announced on the crowdfunding campaign page, it was one of the decks due to be shipped in the second wave of the campaign fulfilment, MechWarrior Pilot Deck: Mercenaries of the Inner Sphere II being created by CGL and issued free to all backers during wave one fulfilment to help offset the shipping cost.
