Description

The Minion Advanced Tactical Vehicle was a joint venture between General Motors and Ceres Metals Industries. With the onset of the FedCom Civil War, however, the mission profile of the Minion was changed to from open-field to urban warfare. This design is often deployed with a Morningstar City Command Vehicle to root out stubborn resistance in cities.[1]

The Minion is a fast hovertank, able to top out around 151 km/h thanks to its 95-rated fusion engine. Even so, it is well-armored for a unit of its size, with over a quarter of the Minion's weight devoted to armor as no unit can rely solely upon speed for defense in confined urban terrain.[1]

Armament

The weapons of the Minion are simple and effective. A pair of Defiance P5M Medium Pulse Lasers are short range and accurate weapons that allow the vehicle to move swiftly and still be able to hit effectively. The all important C3 Slave Unit enables the Minion to share targeting data with other units in its network.[1]

Variants

  • TAG - This variant produced by the Capellan Confederation after they seized Tikonov replaces the C3 Slave with a TAG. This enables the Minion to serve as an artillery spotter.[1] BV (1.0) = 285[2]
  • Targeting Computer - Produced exclusively on Kathil, this variant also swaps out the C3 Slave. In its place is, as the name of the variant suggests, a Targeting Computer that makes the Minion's lasers that much more accurate.[1] BV (1.0) = 326[3]
