Death and afterward

Following the failure of Operation Scorpion, Waterly was reportedly challenged by Anastasius Focht as to her right to continue in the role of Primus. She was forced to resign, according to the ComStar Archives' ComStar History research team, and then suffered a cerebral hemmorrhage four days later. The Word of Blake maintains, however, that Focht and Sharilar Mori, her successor, had her killed. [1]
