History

The Nigel was an Invader-class JumpShip. In May 3029, it carried elements of the strike force sent to conquer Sarna in the fifth wave of the Fourth Succession War. The trip would entail traveling through three uninhabited systems. In the second stopover system, the barren FG5429 system, the jump drive of the Nigel failed. Its DropShips were transferred to other JumpShips and engineers were brought from other ships in the fleet to help repair the Nigel so that it could follow the fleet to Sarna later on. It would, however, later transpire that the Nigel had exploded, killing all who had remained behind.[1]
