Description
The Orochi is a Post-Jihad Assault BattleMech built by the Victory Industries on Marduk. The 'Mech is intended as a update to the ancient Longbow fire-support design. The Draconis Combine had put great effort to update the factories on Marduk to production of the 'Mech. Using it as a symbol of nation's recovery and economic resurgence from the war. However, the 'mechs advanced weaponry was cited as being overly expensive and requiring high maintenance. Thus when it was initially produced, it was foreseen by intelligence agencies that it would only put into limited production.
Armaments and Capacities
The Orochi utilizes Advance Tech Missile launchers in place of Longbow's traditional LRM launchers. It been equipped with two Advanced Tech Telos ThunderShot Thunderbolt 20 Launchers mount one in each arm. T-Bolt launchers have been allotted with 6 tons of ammunition, split up between two ammunition bays in each of the 'Mechs' arms.
To supplement the 'Mech short-range firepower, it been also fitted 2 Telos TargetLok-4 Streak SRM 4, each found in each arm. As well the Orochi's only energy weapon, the Victory 12E Extended Range Small Laser which is mounted in 'Mech's the head.
The 360 Rated Hermes Extralight Engine propels the assault 'Mech up to 64 kilometers and hour. To protect the 'Mech vitals, and its vulnerable ammunition and large engine, the 'Mech been armored plated with 17.5 tons of Starshield A Armor.
