Tai-sa Ramanathan Kurita was the commander of the Nineteenth Sun Zhang Academy Cadre, with the Draconis Combine, as of 3145.[1]

A distant cousin of Coordinator Yori Kurita, Ramanathan was embarrassed when his green Cadre lost a Company of BattleMech when attacking the Federated Suns world Exeter, to local planetary militia before the Cadre had managed to secure their DropShip landing zone. Pulled back to Homam, the Cadre remained on that world to garrison its supply depots until at least December 3145, at which time Ramanathan still hoped his next action would be able to make up for the disgrace of his last.[1][2]
