Overview & Deployment

Originally designed as a Heavy Battlemech for the Rims World Republic, design evolved into fast strike or heavy support units for medium class mechs & vehicles. When Amaris's took over the Terran Hegemony in 2766, he had this engineers upgrade this mech class with modern battletechnologies. The advanced technology included adding Endo Steel, MASC, andArtemis VII missile guidence system. Endo steel allowed for mech be armor protection rise up to sixteen tons.

Armament

The primary weapon is the Luballin LB 10-X Autocannon in its left arm, carrying two tons of ammo for weapon right torso ammo bin. It also small array of lasers, Tronel XIII Large Pulse Laser in housed in center torso, and two medium lasers in each side torso. In addition to autocannon for long-range fire support, the mech has Artemis VII guided Jackson Dart LRM-10 Missile Pack with only ton of ammo. To strength its short range suppose with lasers, three Streak SRM-2 launchers are bundled together in the left torso with ton of ammo share between them. For defense against missiles, the mech mounts a Buzzsaw Anti-Missile System which has ton ammo. For anti-infantry, the mech has a Zippo Mark X Anti-personnel Flamer mounted in its left torso.

Variants

*RMP-2G Rampage - First introduced in 2735 and was produced for decades prior to introduction of Star League enhanced RMP-5, and is 25% slower. The mech equipt with Autocannon/10 & LRM-10 had two tons of ammo each, 2 x Medium Lasers, Large Laser, Flamer, & Machine Gun with ton of ammo. BV (2.0) = 1,444

*RMP-4G Rampage - Introduced in 2750 and built in limited numbers prior to introduction of 5G. This mech has fifteen tons of armor, XL Engine & MASC. It is armed with deadly Gauss Rifle mounted in left arm with two tons of ammo, LB 10-X Autocannon with two tons, single medium laser mounted in right torso with Anti-Missile System and its ton of ammo. For anti-personnel, the mech has its Zippo flamer mounted in left torso. BV (2.0) = 2020

Noteable Pilots

• Captain Bernard "Ogre" Critchly - the Captain of the Greenhaven Gestapo, a Rims World Republic mercenary unit, and one few whom received a RMP-5G Rampage. He and his unit partipation in occupation of Terra. His reputation nickname of having "poor hygiene" and brutality. His unit was station at Vatican, where he spraypainted his own portrait on Sistine Chapel. After Liberation of Terra, he and his mech dissappeared.
