The Red River was a modified Union-class DropShip owned by the Eridani Light Horse in the 28th century.
Operational History
In 2798, the Red River was assigned to carry the Fiftieth Heavy Cavalry Battalion, part of the 151st Light Horse Regiment. The 13th June it departed from the planet Sendai, after the Eridanis had terminated their contract with the Draconis Combine. After hearing Sendai's administrator Kol Dojiro had captured the 50th and 8th Recon Battalion's dependents and executed them in the Sendai Massacre, they turned back, landing on Aobayama City.[1]
After the Eridanis had taken revenge, the Red River departed again on 23 June, carrying the 50th.[2]
