The history of Rezak's Hole is intertwined with that of the pirate group known as the [[Band of the Damned]]. The Band first appeared in [[3042]], and made a reputation for itself by raiding worlds in the Draconis Combine and [[Outworlds Alliance]]. Covertly assisted by the corrupt commanding officer of the [[Seventh Pesht Regulars]], the Band of the Damned found rich pickings until the [[Draconis Combine Mustered Soldiery]] dispatched a [[battalion]] of the Seventh to track the pirates down.
