The Solaris Gaming Commission (also referred to as the Solaran Gaming Commission) oversees the Solaris City-based "Main Circuit" of the Solaris Games and its famous Grand Tournament.[1]
Overview
The Solaris Gaming Commission tallies the victories and defeats through the year, ranking the best warriors of the major stables and cooperatives for inclusion in qualifier matches which cement who will compete in the annual Solaris VII Grand Tournament.[1]
The Solaris Gaming Commission has extensive rules and bylaws that controls the nature of the games, though some like the Black Lions Cooperative feel that they are bureaucratic nightmare, unduly restrictive and biased towards the major stables.[2]
History
Following the death of 3062 Champion Theodore Gross in the Solaris Riots of that year, as favorite to have won 3063 Championship the Solaris Gaming Commission debated awarding him the Championship posthumously, but public outcry and the Commission's own bylaws prevented this.[1]
