Sovetskii Soyuz (WarShip class)

The Sovetskii Soyuz was a Star League era heavy cruiser that carried such an awesome array of weapos that many officers viewed it as a battlecruiser. The Sovetskii Soyuz was designed with long range combat in mind making use of 12 naval autocannons 20s, while 6 Naval laser-45s and 8 medium Naval PPCs provided it a significant long range punch. The array of weapons required a sacrifice in armor mounting almost 50% less armor than the smaller Black Lion battlecruiser. Despite the light armor the Sovetskii Soyuz was able to perform well in the war to liberate Terra using its long range firepower to keep adversaries at a distance.

Notable Warships The SLS Kharov one of aproximately 40 Sovetskii Soyuz Heavy Cruisers that accompanied Aleksandr Kerensky in his exodus was renamed the Dire Wolf and served as the Wolf Clan flagship. The Dire Wolf was the ship that Ilkahn Leo Showers was aboard when he was killed by Tyra Miraborgs suicide attack.
