Description
Developed by Clan Nova Cat to be a companion 'Mech to the Black Hawk, the Sphinx was introduced during the Jihad. Like the Black Hawk, the Sphinx is an all-laser 'Mech, and also suffers from overheating like its medium cousin, but in far higher magnitudes. Some Sphinxes are produced by Clan Sea Fox as well.
Armament
The fast and well-armored 'Mech uses an advanced targeting computer slaved to its 10 ER Medium Lasers.
Variants
- - Uses eight ER Small Lasers and two ER Large Lasers for variable fire.
- - Removes the more advanced targeting system, MASC and uses Ferro-Fibrous armor to free up space for two additional ER Large Lasers.
- - Also makes the space saving changes with the addition of using Heavy Small Lasers instead of the ER Medium Lasers to allow two Large Pulse Lasers.
