History[edit]
The Strongbow was a JumpShip. It was depicted as an Invader-class vessel, though it should be noted that this is from an unreliable source.[1]
When Trellwan was overrun by Clan Jade Falcon in April of 3050, crushing the defending 12th Donegal Guards, Victor Steiner-Davion was evacuated from the doomed world on the DropShip Hejira, which in turn docked with the Strongbow to leave the system.[2][1][3]
According to what may be a fictionalized account of what happened,[1] in the sense of a canon rumor promulgated by BattleTech: The Animated Series (canonically, a holovid show by Tharkad Broadcasting Company loosely based on real events), the Strongbow jumped to the Butler system where it suffered a Kearny-Fuchida Drive breakdown that would take weeks to repair. Victor Steiner-Davion commandeered the Hejira to switch to another JumpShip in hopes of being brought back to Trellwan, though he was then ordered to Sudeten instead.[1][3] The specific fate of the Strongbow is not mentioned.
