• 01 January 2022: Happy New Year!

"All systems nominal" for BattleTech as we drop into the new year. While our beloved gaming universe as such is going strong, many of us are now looking back at a rough year or two with all the negative roll modifiers going on in the real world. May the new year turn things around. Keep the faith, and trust your lancemates to cover your back. We can win this one. ;)

CGL is now selling palm-sized cards with tabletop gaming rules, with a focus on support elements (i.e., artillery, minefields, and strafing runs).

Details for pre-orders of the Wolf Dragoons Assault Star (via Barnes & Noble) and the newest Gray Death Legion novel by William H. Keith are now available for review.

Further development of OTP: Hanseatic Crusade is now available here with TTS: Granada, and the base boxed game is again on sale with CGL.

Purpose

This section (Newsbursts/External News) is reserved for items of note relating to the overall BattleTech community, including news releases regarding canonical, officially-licensed products (e.g., source, rule, and technical books & novels), and other major products (e.g., video games) that may merit Sarna entries or updates. Each should link to the external source that reports the notable event or a purchase site.
Default minimum posts for Newsbursts should be three, though it should be kept fresh with new information (as much as possible) and each entry should remain for at least a full month (if space allows). While items should be listed chronologically, posts removed from the section (and copied to the archive) should be culled based on importance of the information being presented; in other words, if a post is deemed to be more relevant than another, it does not have to be removed in lieu of a later-dated post. Posts should not link to Sarna News, the site's internal news division, though both may carry reports on the same announcements.
