Colonel Ulysses Tannenbaum was the commander of the First Buena Guards, with the Lyran Commonwealth, as of 3145.[1]

Tannenbaum had only been recently appointed as First Buena Guards CO as of 3145, due to his predecessor being cashiered, over his outspoken support for Duke Vedet Brewer's utlimately failed attempt to usurp the Archonship. Provided with the unit's homeworld Buena as a garrison post, Tannenbaum and the First Buena Guards were considered highly loyal to Archon Trillian Steiner.[1][2]
