The University of Canopus was a university established on the Canopian planet of Canopus.
Background[edit]
Located on the planet Canopus, the University of Canopus was one of only two universities that existed in the Magistracy of Canopus by the end of the Succession Wars.[1] Though at the time it was closer to a technical school than anything else, the introduction of Taurian expertise in 3058 and Capellan subsidies in 3059 led to expansions and improvements for the university.[2] By 3067 the university had gained the School of the Visual Arts, and the Magistracy's first teacher's college, the Royal College of Education.[3]
