I have two possibly three 'Mechs that I believe were produced by MFG exclusively. There was one called a Snake-Eye, a Nuke-EM (I think) and I believe that the Catapult K2 is also one of theirs. Does anyone have any information on MFG 'Mechs? - Dark Jaguar (talk) 18:54, 7 June 2017 (EDT)

:Which Germany would that have been? I've never been a member, and I only have the complete Life Support magazine from the first and some Terra Post magazines from the third incarnation, but none from the second. Also, I'm not aware of any miniatures officially produced for MFG 'Mech designs, and have never heard of the Snake-Eye or Nuke-EM before. Off the top of my head I can only think of the Linesman and the Sidewinder, neither of which has a miniature.

:The CPLT-2K meanwhile is a standard, canonical Catapult variant from TRO:3025. Although extremely rare, it seems to be an extremely popular design in Germany and many German supporters of the upcoming HBS game discussed it on the HBS forum, putting this relatively obscure variant into the spotlight way more than it actually deserves from an in-universe viewpoint. The discussion turned out that the -K2, although mentioned in TRO:3025, was supposedly only produced from 3033 onwards according to the MUL which caused an outcry among the fans on the forum. Turns out CGL, after intense factchecking, had determined that available sources imply the -K2 variant had been completely extinct for a time until production resumed in the 3030s. Because of its populartiy, Todd "Sigil" Marshal put the German version into his Technical Readout: 3028 as a different (if non-canonical) 'Mech. Fan research and lobbying later led to the MUL entry for the -K2 being corrected and its intro date changed. While this whole episode was apparently driven primarily by German fans, ultimately, the CPLT-K2 is a canonical variant. Frabby (talk) 06:15, 8 June 2017 (EDT)

:: I really liked the K2 variant as well, that's why I bought the figure. I got these in about 1999/2000 so not sure if it was the last of MFG2 or the start of MFG3. I had to order them from the MFG website at the time. The Snake-Eye was not a great casting, poorly defined on the main body in my opinion. It had legs in the style of a Mad Cat but not a direct copy of the part. The small weapon pods for arms looked like the PPC housings at the end of a Marauders arm. I think it was a light 'Mech, perhaps 35tons. The Nuke-Em has a definite JagerMech feel to it, but is topped with the radar dish from the Rifleman IIc - so pretty ugly! lol. I never used this 'Mech it was a real piece of Fanon with nuclear armed weaponry (hence the name). I just bought it for the "wierd" value. The K2 basically had Warhammer PPCs turned upside-down in place of the missile pods. Unfortunately I appear to have lost the download of their record sheets over the years.  I have the sheets for the Sidewinder and the Lineman, they were published in MFUK Record Book 14.  -- Dark Jaguar (talk) 13:40, 8 June 2017 (EDT)

:::::: My thoughts on this are that the Capellan reserves were renamed to the Capellan Defense Force prior to 3060, but that the forces renamed were conventional forces - including Home Guard forces - which is why they don't appear in any of the force listings. The Capellan Defense Force became a notable formation when it incorporated significant 'Mech forces, in the form of the front-line Grenadiers, as well as the mustering of the Second CDF, which incorporated Home Guard formations. The Capellan Defense Force could then have existed prior to 3060 as a conventional unit formation, before becoming a significant brigade when the Grenadiers became the First CDF Regiment in 3060 and the Second CDF Regiment was formed. I know that this interpretation hinges in large part on the distinction between reserves and Reserves, but it seems to me that the two brigades/formations were running in parallel up until 3060, and the CDF simply wasn't significant enough to be listed anywhere because it was conventional forces only (or conventional with minimal 'Mech forces, in keeping with all those Clan Invasion-era militias that showed up in the Clan Wolf/Clan Jade Falcon/Invading Clans books when they were getting stomped, but which had never appeared before). Does that make sense? BrokenMnemonic (talk) 03:50, 26 June 2017 (EDT)

::Thank you! :) I agree this is an award that looks like it should be given out more, not sure what the reason or even if there are any for it being far rarer. If you look at the editors with the highest edit count (Doneve not included he deserves the founders version tbh) it comes out about 1 to 4000 edits, not exactly casual. - Dark Jaguar (talk) 04:03, 1 July 2017 (EDT)

Hi Dark Jaguar,

Do you know how the system maps are generated? All those images don't have a category and this makes the Uncategorized files not very useful as from the first 1000 thousand maybe 95% images as these ones. And I do not want to put them in a category as this might affect the "program" that generates them. Do you know who can help? Maybe when the image is generated it can be put in a category like "System Images". I'm asking more people, but do you have any idea?--Pserratv (talk) 10:40, 10 March 2021 (EST)
