Vernon Artman was the Weapons Master for the mercenary Gray Death Legion by 3056.[2]He was a muscular, pugnacious-looking black man.
History[edit]
Artman joined the Legion twenty-five years before 3056 at Galatea, signing on as an ammo handler and working his way up to being the man in charge not only of the regiment's munitions, but all combat training.[2] Even though Weapons Master was a specialist command rank in its own right, somewhat akin to the warrant officers of ancient planet-bound militaries, he still preferred to be called "Sarge".[2]
