The Cat's Maw was an Overlord-C-class Command DropShip operated by Clan Nova Cat.

History

During the Battle of Tukayyid, the Cat's Maw initially served as Alpha Galaxy's command vessel. Its intended role in the battle was abruptly ended before the ship could even deploy its embarked warriors, as Com Guard pilot Frank Brantling destroyed the ship with his damaged Hammerhead in a kamikaze attack.

Destroyed along with the Cat's Maw itself were thirty OmniMechs and six Elemental Stars from the Fourth Nova Cat Lancers, nearly all of Alpha Galaxy's command staff, and essential ammunition and repair supplies. The sudden loss of all of these barely minutes into the battle had an immediate and detrimental impact upon the Nova Cat campaign, including that Clan's infamous ammunition shortage that prevented any remaining chance of victory.
