Silver managed to rise to command a fire-support company in the Tenth Marik Militia, despite not having a high-tech 'Mech, powerful family or pretty face. From a political perspective, she was an opponent of the Free Worlds League alliance with the Capellan Confederation, often agitating for an attack on that nation while it was weak.[1]
