History[edit]

Early life[edit]

A descendant of Aaron Sandoval, through his son David, Colleen did not expect to inherit much power.[2] Managing affairs on Robinson's Solomon continent, she was seemingly uninterested in a martial career, preferring family life and government service.

Invasion of Robinson[edit]

When the Draconis Combine invaded Robinson in August 3144, all of her children died in the invasion. She took out her rage on the Draconis Combine through guerilla attacks on the occupying forces.[2] When Paladin Max Ergen liberated Robinson with his Task Force Eruptio, Sandoval took control of the planet and implemented massive military expansion based on an overwhelming defense.[3] Ordering the construction of fortifications and fixed positions played a large part in Sandoval's plan, the core of which was a militia loyal to Robinson, soldiers who were fanatically loyal and would not flee in the face of danger. The Second Davion Irregulars was chosen as the basis for the reformed Robinson Rangers for their service against the Sixteenth Galedon Regulars in 3150, rewarding every officer of the Second with land grants easing them into her service.[3] Seeing action almost immediately against the First Ghost on the planet of Rochester, with the victory against the First Ghost Prime Minister Rakesh Chatwal declared loyalty to Robinson and Baroness Sandoval. Through Clan Sea Fox agents, Sandoval began hiring large groups of mercenaries with a bias towards units with Draconis March ties. The largest and perhaps most famous mercenary command Colleen Sandoval had hired was Hansen's Roughriders, and with them brought crucial information on the actions of Clan Wolf and Clan Jade Falcon.[3] Sandoval allowed the Roughriders to recruit and recoup their losses from the Battle of Terra and ordered them to train and organize her new militias.[2] In a move that had raised some tension between Robinson and New Avalon, Baroness Sandoval diverted almost all of the production of Robinson Standard Battle Works to equip her newly raised forces. Following Colleen Sandoval's success, news slowly spread to other worlds, and other Planetary Governers began to emulate her, with some even traveling to Robinson to meet with Baroness Sandoval in person.
