Colonel Douglas Hoppe was the commanding officer of the First Orloff Grenadiers between 3050 and 3067.[1][2][3]
History[edit]
Hoppe was a native of Carbonis.[1][2][3] In 3057 he lead the First Orloff Grenadiers during their successful invasion of Oliver during Operation Guerrero, and afterwards returned to Vanra a hero. Enjoying his status perhaps too much, Hoppe's partying gained him a reputation for womanizing and other licentious acts, which reduced morale within the Grenadiers and attracted the concerned attention of League Central Coordination and Command.[4]
Despite this in 3067 Colonel Hoppe was selected to act as the overseer of all Orloff Grenadiers regiments, though he also retained command of the First nominally, and Brevet-Colonel Aumi Shapiro was given operational control of the Grenadiers.[5]
