Fergus Tenpenny was the commanding officer of the Third Battalion of the 1065th Millerton Armored Regiment in 3064.[1]

Tenpenny ended up on the 1065th on the mistaken belief he was a Syke Separatist, though why this happened when he wasn't born in Syke Province nor ever stationed there is a mystery.[2]
The senior Hauptmann in the third[2], he ended in command of the Battalion when the Kommandant in charge went on leave and never returned[1]. He has been working to improve the unit, and he is slowly moving to add those soldiers from First and Second Battalions who haven't given up to his third[2], and also been helping Leutnant-Colonel Nancy Donner and Sergeant Major Stefan Middleton to lay plans in case someone actually invades Millerton.[2]
Because of this, the third battalion is in the best shape of the three. Hauptmann Tenpenny has done everything he can to make sure his soldiers are equipped and trained. Of the three battalions, Third Battalion is in the best shape. They train constantly and still have strong military cohesion.[1]
