House Dormax was a well-known, influential family in the Rim Worlds Republic.

Catherine Dormax's actions at the onset of the Republican civil war in 2575 led to the formation of the Rim Provisional Government and the elevation of its Rift Republican Army members as an administrative body seeking legitimacy in an era ruled by ironfisted Gregory Amaris.[1] Though the RPG would disband at the end of the Reunification War, Dormax became something of a folktale which people recounted for decades afterward, saying her ghost would return to save the Republic from itself.[2]
The Dormax name now famous, her descendants would continue to be involved in Apollo and RRA society, culminating in 2770 when the Star League Defense Force recognized the RRA as the legitimate government of the Republic with Lucien Dormax as President.[3]
