On 6 May 3039,[1] the Liberty was one of three Union-class DropShips in use by the Fifth Amphigean Light Assault Group when they withdrew from Vega during the War of 3039. The Fourteenth Legion of Vega shielded their retreat against the advancing Lyran Commonwealth and Snord's Irregulars forces.[2]
The other two DropShips were the Titan and Falcon.[2]
