Marco's Marauders was a mercenary unit operating mostly in the Periphery.

The unit had been operating in the Periphery when they picked a contract from the Federated Suns to pacify a small world.
When the unit arrived, in order to fight the guerrillas in the deep forest, they had to fight on foot, leaving their BattleMechs and Combat Vehicles behind. It took ten weeks to finish the job. While celebrating, the unit was attacked by native beasts, Trachazoi, that killed several of the mercenaries and caused more damage than the actual pacification.[1]
