Operation 4, Mission 1[edit]
BRIEFING[edit]
Sorenson: We’re coming in from the east. Records salvaged from the Durgen fortress pinpoint these three communication relays. Taking them out slows down Corbett’s response times, but expect them to be well guarded. Records indicate a Star of Cauldron Born running the area.
Sorenson: The payoff comes from this village to the west at Nav Point Baker. It has a train depot, and a schedule we picked up in the spaceport debris points to a large shipment of supplies coming through soon. Don’t let it get by.
Sorenson: Clear the area of ‘Mechs and take out the train after it has dropped its supplies at the depot.
DURING MISSION[edit]
Star Commander Montague: This is Star Commander Montague. Station Two is clear. Still no sign of enemy forces. Beginning southeast sweep.
Sorenson: Sounds like that patrol of Cauldron Borns is in the area. If we’re careful, we may be able to slip by them. Over to you, Lance Leader.
Sorenson: That should throw a wrench into the response times.
Male Jaguar: Star Captain Cameron, we are rendezvousing with the train. We are five kilometers out, and are escorting it in.
Male Jaguar: We have encountered enemy forces. We are heavily engaged.
Male Jaguar: Defend the train!
Male Jaguar: Star Captain!!!
Male Jaguar: Approaching station. No sign of enemy force.
Sorenson: That’s our cue, Lance Leader. We need to get into position.
Male Jaguar: Train is clear. Heading for Durgen City.
Sorenson: That train can’t be allowed to clear this area.
Male Jaguar: Star Colonel Kotare, this is Star Captain Vaughn. Enemy has been sighted moving against our location.
Kotare: Very well, Star Captain. Deal with them…appropriately.
Vaughn: Keep clear of my line of fire. I shall make them pay.
AFTERMATH[edit]
Mattila: Well at least now Corbie knows we’re not just rolling over and giving up.
Sorenson: Better than that. We picked up solid intel on our next few mission areas. We know some of the Clan ‘Mech deployments, and a good possibility for supplies lying right along our path.
Epona: Things are looking up, then.
Gunner: Things are looking up when we find a ticket off Tranquil, not until!
