Description[edit]

The Pegasus Passenger VTOL is a Civilian Support VTOL used for mass transit systems between cities and other population centers on planets. Developed by Blackstone BattleMechs of Inarcs, its recreation was a result of the company trying to diversifying its production lines beyond producing Battlemechs. The vehicle was intended to act as an airborne link to other cities and urbanized settings that may not have existing airfields.[1][2]

The Pegasus first served as "Yellow Taxi" on New Exford in the Lyran Alliance, and the first production run was sold out by 3067. The vehicle was used to link dense cities of the planet with the company's bright yellow Pegasus VTOLs.[1][2]

Equipment and Capabilities[edit]

Designed for fast and safe transportations of up to a hundred passengers, the Pegasus has an electric fuel cell engine. The hybrid electric motor allows the Pegasus to reach 120 km/h and travel as far as 2,000 km before refueling. The vehicle aside from its passengers, has a 5 ton cargo bay (2 doors per left /right side) move passengers' luggage or material goods. The vehicle had virtually no armor, with minimum structural protection should any military type weaponry is used against it.[1][2]
