The Red Sea was a DropShip of unknown class. For much of 3133, it worked under contract from the Bulephron Chemical Corporation, making deliveries to and from Towne. On 26 August 3133, the Red Sea made a special delivery, arriving on Towne with only one piece of cargo: a set of technical documents and messages from Achernar, tied to efforts to repair the HPG there, which was escorted to Towne's chief sacrist Lev Bouzerau. The arrival of the Red Sea sparked rumors of the end of the Blackout, driving masses of Towne's citizens to arrive at ComStar offices with messages to send. Riots soon followed.[1]
