Major General Roseleen "Rhino" McGuiness was the commander of the Star League Defense Force's LXII Corps as of 2764.[1]

Roseleen McGuiness was a sixth-generation SLDF officer, and great-granddaughter of General Amos Forlough, who graduated tenth in her class at West Point Military Academy on Terra. Rising to Corps command due to her intelligence, will, and force of presence, she had a reputation for being blunt and hard-nosed. Nicknamed "Rhino" for her straight-ahead style by critics, many Taurian Concordat citizens did not take kindly to her posting near their borders, forcing Star League Intelligence Command to foil at least two attempts to assassinate her.[1]
McGuiness also had a tempestuous relationship with Fourth Army CO General Tatjana Baptiste, clashing in relation to the defensive posture Baptiste choose to adopt for her army, supply problems, and Baptiste's refusal to let McGuiness relocate her headquarters.[1]
