Initially serving in the III Principes Guards under the command of Colonel Romero Serrano, with his brother Stephen Anderson, Samson was involved in the defense of the Republic Remnant world of Dubhe from two Trinaries of Clan Wolf raiders. Flanking the Wolf Guards raiders with his brother in the hope of driving off their DropShips, they found the landing zone defended by a armor Trinary under the guns of the awaiting DropShips, which together had too much firepower to be attacked directly. Deciding instead to challenge a single Wolf Star for a Trial of Possession over one of the DropShips, which was accepted by the Wolf commander, the two brothers managed to advance to close range and force the collection of Wolf armor out of the Circle of Equals. Taking their prize, when the remainder of the raiders returned, they had to Trial between each other to determine who would be able to retreat on the remaining DropShip.
Following this victory, both Anderson brothers were transferred to Damien Redburn's personal unit on Callison, where they acted a Redburn's bodyguards on any battlefield he joined. The Remnant’s public relations department work hard to show the two battered Laments in any shot with Redburn's ’Mech.[1][2][3]
