Major General Stefan Jacobs was the commander of the Star League Defense Force's 286th Royal BattleMech Division as of 2764.[1]

Leading a Division used by LXXII Corps as a rapid reaction force, Jacobs' troops were so used to being required to deploy quickly, that their response times had become as good as a Dragoon Regiment.[1]
