Talk:Saturn (DropShuttle class)

DropShuttle[edit]

Turns out I don't have a copy of XTRO:P5, only a review copy with my factchecking annotations. Going by that preliminary copy and the text in the article, the Saturn clearly isn't a DropShip. It can't be, as the Docking Hardpoint wasn't created until the 2460s. Technically, the Saturn must thust have been a DropShuttle instead; and I doubt that any significant number survived to be refitted with a docking collar two hundred years after it was taken out of service.

The article name should also reflect this - it would then have to be "Saturn (DropShuttle class)" or simply "Saturn". Frabby (talk) 15:57, 29 May 2017 (EDT)

Frabby, my copy of the XTRO P5 clearly states it's a DropShip. Primitive One. Neverless a DropShip. I can ask on the forums what the official ruling about it. I rather have it listed as DropShip vs DropShuttle since nothing in the source material clearfies that. Also there holes in some of the information of the Primitives ships anyways. Especially when it comes to intro dates of equipment. Interstellar Operations also spells out that DropShips that are primitive were sometimes called DropShuttles but rules wise is clearly state it's a DropShip. Thus why i stuck with the information list. -- Wrangler (talk) 18:16, 29 May 2017 (EDT)
