Talk:University of Washington on Donegal

Comment[edit]

That feeling when you make your alma mater one of the most prestigious universities in human space, and then to put a cherry on it, make an extension campus one too. — The preceding unsigned comment was posted by 73.240.128.104 (talkcontribs) .

Could be. Then again, the author(s) may have picked a well-known institution more or less randomly and transplanted it to the future of the 1980s that is BattleTech. The same happened with a great many brands, like Boeing being a major aerospace firm in BattleTech. Frabby (talk) 17:20, 28 June 2020 (EDT)
Eh, Boeing being a major aerospace firm is like having GM be a major producer of engines. It's assuming one of the big names in a field at the time you're writing would continue being a big name. Having the University of Washington become a college on par with Princeton, and having its extension campus be one of the best schools in the Commonwealth? Something of a bigger promotion.
