|
- Template {{Redirect category shell}} may be used to add one or more redirect cat templates, along with their parameters and categories, to a redirect. For more information see the documentation page below.
When used by itself:
- To a section: This is a redirect from a topic that does not have its own page to a section of a page on the subject. For redirects to embedded anchors on a page, use {{R to anchor}} instead.
This template should not be substituted nor used to tag soft redirects. |
Usage[edit]
- This redirect category (rcat) template populates Category:Redirects to sections. Add this rcat to a redirect in the following manner:
#REDIRECT [[(target page name)#(target section header)]]
{{Rcat shell|
{{R to section}}
}}
- Template {{Rcat shell}} is an alias for the Redirect category shell template, which may be used to add as many appropriate rcats as needed, usually from one to seven, along with their parameters, to a redirect. For more information see the documentation on its template page. This rcat may also tag a redirect individually:
#REDIRECT [[(target page name)#(target section header)]]
{{R to section}}

This Template page is not yet active, as it concerns an administrative page that is a draft or a draft proposal and is located here. Editors are requested to be bold and assist with the drafting process if possible. Likewise, editors can comment on the pros and cons of the basic idea and on how the draft can be improved, rather than on whether it is a good idea to adopt the draft in its current form. Once this notice is removed (and the page moved out of the to its correct spot), discussion can move more clearly on to the issue of whether an actual proposal should be adopted, with or without amendments. |
