Overview[edit]

During the battle for Cadiz, Subcommander Rico Cazador and his lance of Wasps, two the new WSP-1L model, were assigned to support infantry room clearing as they rooted out insurgents. Not wanting to cause civilian casualties he equipped his lance with gas and smoke rounds instead of explosives. That not only spared civilian lives, but helped the CCAF infantry keep losses low as well.[1][2]

When FWLM forces landed in December Subcommander Cazador and his lance were ordered to harass the vanguard. Knowing it was a death sentence they nevertheless used Inferno and smoke munitions to set fires and obscure their movements, destroying eight combat vehicles and three ’Mechs before finally falling.[1][3]
