Major General Thora Silva was the commander of the Star League Defense Force's 252nd Mechanized Infantry Division as of 2764.[1]

Based on the extremely remote Outworlds Alliance planet Gitarama, Silva's biggest challenge was maintaining her Division's morale, given their distance from family and the comforts of civilization. Attempting to mitigate this by constantly rotating her Regiments, so that at least they had new sights and sounds to experience, Major General Silva was successful in preventing large scale discontent.[1]
