Though outnumbered by the Jaegers, the Falcons attacked head-on, using artillery attacks and a sandstorm to crush the Jaegers. The task force leader, Colonel [[Jeremy Cox]], was forced to call in its reserve, the Lancers, who crushed the Falcon rearguard. Victory was achieved, and the Lancers were almost intact... but both the 2nd and 3rd sustained over thirty percent casualties.<ref name=TRp29 />
