History

The Riga was the last vessel of the Potemkin-class cruiser to enter service and was launched in 2748. The SLS Riga was active throughout the Periphery Uprising while under the command of Commodore Nicholas Schlesinger, ferrying troops to and from various Periphery worlds; the Riga served throughout the Hegemony Campaign to liberate the Terran Hegemony in the wake of the coup launched by Stefan Amaris, and was decommissioned in 2781. The Riga was subsequently recommissioned in 2784 and followed SLDF Commanding General Aleksandr Kerensky on the Exodus.[1]
