Kim Hasbrin was an officer on Clan Ice Hellion.[1]

History

When the Ice Hellions launched their invasion of the Clan Jade Falcon Occupation Zone in the Inner Sphere in mid-3071, she was commanding the Aegis-class heavy cruiser Taney. One of the first actions conducted by all thirteen Ice Hellion WarShips including the Taney was to secure the Dark Nebula, destroying the small Jade Falcon naval force there and securing the largely abandoned facility.[2]

The Taney was caught alongside the Essex-class destroyer CIH Moore's Honor in an early Jade Falcon counterattack that hit the world of Somerset in an attempt to slash into the flank of the advancing Ice Hellion forces. Attacking with the First Falcon Hussars and the Falcon Stoop Naval Attack Star, the Jade Falcons were the victors in the resulting naval battle.[2]

The Texas-class battleship CJF Falcon's Nest and the Vincent Mk. 42-class corvette CJF Lightning Strike crippled the maneuvering drive on the Moore's Honor in their opening pass; Star Admiral Kim Hasbrin, the commanding officer of the Taney, attempted to use the Honor as a decoy combined with some deft maneuvering to escape, but the Taney was pursued relentlessly by the Falcon's Nest and a number of aerospace fighter Stars, who continued to harry the Taney until it was destroyed.[2]

The battle was not without losses for the Falcons; according to at least one report, the Lightning Strike was destroyed by the Ice Hellion forces during the engagement.[1]
