History
The Chesterton Liberation Battalion claimed responsibility for a terrorist bombing, in May 2760, which destroyed a BattleMech factory on the Federated Suns world of Demeter using a Nuclear Weapon. The Federated Suns accused the Maskirovka of aiding the terrorists, though they denied these charges.[1][2]
Treating the attack as a breach of the Bell Accord between the two states, it caused a brief period of open conflict between Liao and Davion sides known as the Border War, to which the Star League responded by deploying the Star League Defense Force's Sixteenth Fleet to the Chesterton region.[3]
