Doppo Saito was the Warlord of the Pesht Military District during the mid-32nd century.

History

An obsequious and ruthless officer, and one corrupted by luxury, Saito held the position of Pesht District's Warlord by December 3034. How he came to gain the post was a mystery to the ISF but he evidently possessed some kind of leverage over Coordinator Vincent Kurita.[2] [3]

After Yori Kurita became Coordinator Saito was the only one of Vincent Kurita's Warlords who retained his position due to his pliability. His sycophantic support for Yori and the sacrifices of his troops during the Nova Cat Rebellion enabled Saito to avoid dismissal despite the Clan warriors threatening Luthien at one stage. During the subsequent invasion of the Federated Suns Saito restructured the Pesht Regulars regiments, reducing their BattleMech complement to a battalion apiece so that some units could be redeployed as rear echelon garrisons behind the front.[4] [5]

He had a son, Yiguchi, who was a Chu-sa in the DCMS.[6]
