19th Galedon Regulars

Revision as of 17:15, 10 January 2011 by Mbear (talk | contribs) (Added info from Field Report: DCMS)

Template:InfoBoxStateUnit The Nineteenth Galedon Regulars are a Heavy BattleMech Regiment in service to the Draconis Combine. Mostly used as a garrison unit, the Nineteenth sees very little action.

History

Formation

The unit has spent almost four decades garrisoning the back water world of Bad News. There is evidence that the unit has been operating without orders to hunt down bandits and raid Periphery worlds. They keep this activity low-key, and the Warlord of Galedon may be turning a blind eye toward it.[1]

Jihad

Stationed in the Tabayama Prefecture with the 16th Galedon Regulars the Nineteenth Galedon Regulars spent most of the Jihad traveling around the prefecture, "showing the flag" and rebuilding civilian confidence. At 85% of their pre-Jihad size they're currently the largest Galedon Regulars unit. The unit has split into two groups, one based on Kazanka and the other on Tabayama.[2]

Officers

Tactics

The Nineteenth has been used mainly as a garrison unit, and has therefore mastered defensive tactics. A particular favorite is a standing-line defense, concentrating fire on one target at a time, then driving forward to split the opposing force in half.[1]
